Visions, Visitations and Spiritual Eyes

Some of you have asked questions regarding the natures of the visions and visitations that have been part of the history of this movement.  In this post, I will try to answer these questions.   I will try to be very direct with my responses.  I simply seek to share the nature of my experiences and do not claim this as religious doctrine. 

I do not know the level of each person’s experiences, so please do not feel like I am talking down to you if I explain things you already know.  Also, because of these experiences, I do not consider myself better than anyone else.  We all have our unique spiritual gifts and rely on others with different spiritual gifts for those things we have not developed ourselves.  So often during this movement, I have been taught the importance of recognizing and valuing the unique gifts and experiences of each person.  I have been taught that this movement will only succeed upon this principle.  

Visions

When I have referred to visions, it has always been when I have been awake.  Any experiences that occurred while I was sleeping, I referred to as dreams.  I do not see visions with my physical eyes; I see them with my spiritual eyes.  It is like seeing them in my mind through a set of eyes I had not previously identified.  Sometimes I have closed my eyes as visions are occurring to remove any distractions from my physical eyes.  Other times, I have left my eyes open.  Sometimes the visions are extremely clear and detailed.  Other times I receive glimpses or more ambiguous visions that I am expected to understand through my own study and future experiences. 

Our World

As many of you know, we live in a world that combines two existences.  We obviously live in a physical existence.  The spiritual existence is the place we dwelt before we were born and is the place we dwell after we die.  The spiritual existence is in the same space as the physical existence and is separated from our view by some sort of veil.  In almost all of my experiences, my spiritual eyes are required to see into the spiritual existence.  We are regularly in the presence of both good and evil spirits who dwell in this spiritual existence.  In the spiritual existence, like here, there is a constant battle between good and evil.  As I have learned to use my spiritual eyes, I am able to see into this world.  I have found that some people have more natural gifts in this area.  For example, some of my children and other individuals I know can see the spiritual existence with much less effort than me.

To this point, it seems like we are often shown only what we need to know for understanding, protection and instruction.  However, the adversary often manipulates this in his efforts to scare, distract and deceive.  He especially focusses his efforts on those who have stronger natural gifts in this area.  I have found that in many cases that the evil is easier to see than the good—I do not know why this is the case. 

I have learned that those in the spiritual existence do not have a perfect understanding and are required to exercise faith and work diligently to accomplish their responsibilities, as we are here in the physical existence.  They too continue to learn and progress through the experiences they are given in that existence.  I have seen that so many of the rules of this existence also hold true in the spiritual existence.  Through my experiences, I have learned some about how closely these two existences are connected and how much we rely on each other in moving forward God’s purposes. 

Visitations

All my visitations to date have occurred with me seeing the messenger through spiritual eyes.  It is only the adversary that I have been able to see with my physical eyes, and these are usually just glimpses.  These visitations have occurred in many different ways and places.  The messengers usually come with a specific message and leaves when it is complete.  Many times the messengers have come to provide instruction on questions I have sought the answer to through prayer.  On a couple of occasions, I have been able to ask additional questions.  Most of the time understanding and remembering the message takes all of my focus.  The messengers usually appear in a way that allows me to recognize their identity.   For example, I have had a few experiences with my deceased grandparents.  They initially appeared to me in vision as I remembered them in their older age.  In subsequent experiences, I have seen them at a younger age.  There have been times when I have not known the identity of the messenger until a future date.  Sometimes messengers come in groups.  In these situations, I only know the specific identify of some of them, but may know the identity of the group.  Each messenger has a unique countenance and light.    

Through my experiences, I have learned to discern between those messengers from God and those who are from the adversary.  However, I have a number of specific tools I have learned that I use to confirm that the messenger is from God.  One of these tools I learned from a good friend.  After the visitation, I record the experience in my journal.  I pay special attention to my feelings as I record the experience to see if any part of the visit or the message seems inconsistent with patterns I have learned or past truths that have been revealed.  Anything that is questionable, I note as such.  This is very helpful in avoiding adding my assumptions to things that are said or shown by the messenger.  I then ask for confirmation from God.  When I have been in the presence of others during a visitation, we obtain this confirmation together. 

Spiritual Eyes

My experience is that everyone who is willing to pay the price can learn to see through their spiritual eyes.  I have found that although there are clear ways through which this can happen, each person’s journey is unique and customized.  Some of the greatest opposition we have received is when learning to use our spiritual eyes.  I believe the adversary’s greatest fear is that we (all of us) will someday see things as they are and that the false reality he has so carefully built will be revealed to the world.  On the other side, I believe God desires for all of us to see things as they are; however, He seems to grant this to us as we are ready for our own protection and growth.

The Economy of Satan

On February 26, 2010 In Satan's Strategy for World Politics

 (The following is a translation from the character formation, “Satan’s Strategy for World Politics.”  Below is the character associated with this translation.) 

The Economy of Satan

 

This translation will reveal Satan’s primary objectives and strategies associated with economy and politics and will provide a foundation from which we can understand the more specific descriptions of his purposes to be revealed in future translations.  Satan and his followers have established key objectives by which they plan to destroy each individual and the creation as a whole through economy and politics. 

To accomplish his plans, the adversary’s primary efforts are focused on destroying our agency.  Agency can be defined as the amalgamation of our unalienable rights and liberties we receive from God, our responsibilities to God and each other and our opportunities to develop our gifts and fulfill the purposes of our existence.  This agency is the key to achieving the grand purposes designed for each individual.  Satan and his followers seek to destroy this agency by eliminating the following three things from our understanding and focus.

God and Truth

Satan and his followers seek to eliminate our understanding and recognition of God.  Through this, they taint our understanding of the purposes of this existence and our relationship with God.  Further, the adversary eliminates our recognition of the higher authority and higher law to which we are accountable.  Satan teaches that we are a law to ourselves and then deceives us regarding our accountability to God and each other. 

Our Purpose

Satan and his followers seek to eliminate our understanding of the purposes of our life.  They seek to distract and hinder us from discovering and developing our gifts and finding our individual purposes.  When successful, the adversary binds the human spirit and stifles our potential, causing us to miss the great opportunities and the missions God designed for us.  In all things, the adversary seeks to prevent our advancement and growth.   

Our Accountability

Satan and his followers seek to eliminate our understanding of and our ability to utilize our unalienable rights and their associated responsibilities.  The following are the primary rights he attacks:

  • Life – Our right and responsibility to exist, preserve our existence and progress through our existence. 
  • Liberty – Our right and responsibility to use our faculties to produce and create. 
  • Property – Our right and responsibility to retain possession and utilize the fruits of our labors. 
  • Pursuit of Happiness – Our right and responsibility to pursue our happiness as the great moral purpose of our existence. 

Further, Satan and his followers seek to reduce transparency and remove accountability for our choices. 

Satan seeks to accomplish his efforts to destroy our agency through the laws and the structure of economy.  Satan recognizes that an economy that operates based on the natural laws represents a significant threat to his designs and purposes.  Further, he knows that his control of the economy provides the best foundation through which he can control other aspects of our lives.  The adversary works diligently to negate the natural laws of economy and establish his control over it.  The following are three of the primary strategies he utilizes to accomplish these things.   

Establish a False Moral Code

To progress their purposes, Satan and his followers are constantly establishing and maintaining false moral codes.  One of his most common strategies in this area is to remove the understanding that the moral purpose of our life is to pursue our own happiness through the laws that God has established.  The adversary seeks to replaces this with a philosophy of self-sacrifice for the common good, which is most often determined by an elect few through government.  Through this philosophy he seeks a redistribution of wealth through the violation of the unalienable right of property.  He also seeks to reduce the rights and responsibilities associated with each person utilizing their faculties to produce and create.  He further indoctrinates these principles by creating a structure that rewards that which is not earned and withholds rewards from those that have earned it according to the natural laws of economy. 

Increase the Power of Government

Satan and his followers constantly seek to increase the power of government.  With a stronger government, they can more easily control the economy and violate each individual’s unalienable rights.  Through this, Satan and his followers can increase regulation over economy and prevent the natural laws from accomplishing their intended purposes in the advancement of God’s children.   Stronger government creates weaker economies by hindering creativity and innovation, reducing productivity and removing the incentives and consequences associated with natural laws.  In this environment, Satan and his followers can continue their quest to remove our liberties and give the control of government and economy to an elite few. 

Totalitarianism is Satan’s ultimate objective for government structure, as in this structure he believes he can replace God and truth.  Further, under Totalitarianism, the adversary can control all aspects of economy, government and religion.  The republic is the only true and lasting organizational structure for government or any other organization.  In a proper functioning Republic, it is so difficult for the adversary to achieve his purposes.  Satan understands this and works diligently to ensure that no nation or organization is able to implement and sustain a proper-functioning republic.  To achieve this, the adversary simply makes sure that one branch, either judicial, legislative or executive, has a disproportionate amount of power.  This will always lead to the eventual downfall of that government or organization and provide the adversary an opportunity to establish Totalitarianism.

Institute Rigid Cultures & Traditions

God’s children are most easily controlled when they are not progressing in developing their gifts and accomplishing the purposes of their life.  Thus, Satan and his followers seek to build rigid cultures and traditions that stifle our vision and passions.  Through this, he can bind our heart, mind and soul.  One individual at a time, he binds the strength of society.  The adversary’s ultimate objective in this area is to stifle the individual until the society consists of a group of mindless, broken individuals who are shackled by biases, false beliefs and false traditions.

To ensure we do not recognize the diabolical purposes progressing in our economies, Satan and his followers build a false reality where their doctrines are presented as truth.  This is accomplished through a complex strategy of indoctrinations.  This often begins with altering history to support the desired philosophies and principles.  Further, scientific theories and findings are presented in a manner that support these same philosophies and principles.  The adversary also seeks complete control of media to filter the nature and manner of what is revealed.  Finally, the adversary seeks to create an environment where we do not truly learn to really perceive and reason, recognize contradiction or seek deep understanding and knowledge of truth.  In this false reality, we become blind to our situation and will submit to the adversary’s dictatorship.  Through this strategy in economy, Satan seeks to become our god and destroy all that was designed before this world was.

Finding the Vision and Underlying Truths for Economics and Politics

On February 25, 2010 In My Journey Through The Higher Law

This post is a continuation of my journey through The Higher Law. 

As I was preparing to translate The Higher Law, I was given a vision that we were to build an organization that would serve as an alternative to the Beast (see definition under the translation for “The Three Pillars of Economics”).  As part of this vision, I learned of the great organization that the adversary had built and the great bondage it held over the world.  I saw that it would soon establish a worldwide economy that would threaten our liberties and eventually our existence.  I was shown that God desired His children to have a choice—an alternative to what the adversary was building.  This organization would essentially be a worldwide economy built on The Higher Law, God’s higher law for economics and politics.      

Obviously this vision was exciting, but very overwhelming.  I thought I had a decent understanding of business and economics, but knew I was not very informed on politics.  I felt this unrelenting drive to obtain a much deeper understanding of these principles and began an intense period of study. 

During this time, I was specifically inspired to read the book “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand.  I felt like this book had been specifically written for me, as I was taught so many important truths while reading the book.  Throughout my experience reading this book, God taught me the truths associated with so many different aspects of the organization we were to build, its purpose, and the methods by which we would build it.  I learned so much about natural economic laws and the innate virtues of capitalism with its associated transparency and accountability.  I also learned that capitalism by itself was not the economy God had chosen for this organization.  God desired to create a self-regulated market that operated on the natural laws of economics—this required a moral code to which each party could hold each other accountable, a solid understanding of individual rights and responsibilities and a structure that supported these objectives.  My mind was also opened to understand principles regarding the purpose of our existence and the role of economy in achieving these purposes. 

During this time, I was also instructed to study the republic, politics, and many other topics.  I was later instructed to ready “The 5000 Year Leap—A Miracle That Changed the World” by W. Cleon Skousen.  It seemed like I was constantly being instructed as I used all my free time in studying and learning these principles.  This was such an enjoyable time, as I was led to ask questions and learn so many principles I had never considered before.   I realized how uneducated I was in some of the most significant issues associated with economics and politics.  I came to understand that by not learning these things, I had neglected many of my individual responsibilities.

Because of my experience with Atlas Shrugged and many other books, I began to develop a bias and closed mind against all the philosophers who had taught principles other than these I had just learned.  However, I was taught that I must keep an open mind as many of the individuals in history that we had judged as “wrong” had underlying truths in their philosophies from which we could learn.  Some of them were inspired to teach those principles that would come to bear at a future time.  I was told that I must constantly keep my mind open in the search for truth, as I would find truth in so many places I had not previously considered.  This has proven to be one of the most important principles in my journey through The Higher Law. 

Perhaps the neatest part of this experience was my discovery of a great passion and love that I had for these things.  As I started to understand the impact of these principles on our life, I found a deep passion to do my part to make things right—to do all that I could to teach and implement these truths in economy and politics.  I knew that somewhere in this, I had found one of the most important purposes of my life.

The Dispensation of Power

On February 23, 2010 In Satan's Strategy for World Politics

(The following is a translation from the character formation, “Satan’s Strategy for World Politics.”  Below is the character associated with this translation.) 

The Dispensation of Power

To understand Satan’s strategy for world politics, we must first understand the nature of Satan and the way by which he obtains power in this world. 

The adversary is the foe to God and seeks to thwart His efforts in helping us advance.  We call this adversary Satan.  Satan is an office, not a person.  This office is currently filled by an individual who has and continues to seek to destroy the eternal pattern of life.  He and his followers move abroad across the Earth seeking to destroy each individual and the creation as a whole.  As Satan and his followers are spirits, they have no power in the physical existence, except they obtain it through God’s children.  This is the great battle he has waged for the souls of men and women. 

Each of us is a republic.  Our soul represents the judicial branch, our mind represents the legislative branch, and our body represents the executive branch.  Our soul includes the Great Light that gives us a knowledge of good versus evil and right versus wrong.  Many refer to this as our conscience.  This provides our foundation of truth that governs our creation of law.  Our mind issues laws in the legislative role and our body confirms and executes these laws in the executive role.  In essence, our body is the power key, our mind is the authority key, and our soul is the sealing key, or the key that seals mind and body together.  Through the proper use of these keys, God offers us great progression and growth. 

Satan understands in detail the principles of the republic and manipulates and alters these truths to obtain power.  His strategy is to obtain all three keys of our republic that he may rule over us and accomplish his purposes through us.  This is the way by which he obtains power in the physical existence—by winning the keys to our republic. 

The following is a description of how Satan seeks to manipulate the truths of the republic to win each of our keys and to achieve his desire of becoming our god.  Through the digression of a person through Satan’s dispensations of power, Satan can work miracles and wonders and achieve great chaos and destruction across the Earth. 

Power over the Body (Key of Power)

Satan accomplishes his purposes in obtaining an individual’s power key through three steps that progressively increase his power over an individual. 

  • Disobey God’s Laws – An individual yields to Satan’s invitation to disobey what they know to be right.  As an individual continues in this path, Satan possesses the individual’s body. 
  • Conspire to Do Evil – An individual deliberately conspires to do evil to obtain power or gain.  Through this, Satan possesses the individual’s mind.
  • Take Satan’s Name – An individual seeks a permanent position of power or wealth by confirming Satan as their God and taking upon them the name of Satan.  Through this, Satan possesses the individual’s soul. 

This is the weakest of Satan’s dispensations of power, as an individual can escape from Satan’s grasp by returning to God and the correct patterns of the republic. 

Power over the Mind (Key of Authority) 

Satan obtains the key of authority by enticing an individual to enter into a covenant with him.  The following are the components of this covenant that Satan seeks to make with each individual.  This covenant is either made with Satan directly or with someone that represents Satan.  This is often done as part of an organization.

Individual Promises Satan

An individual swears by God, heaven, earth and their own heads (or some variation of this) to the following:  

  • Oath of Obedience – The individual promises complete obedience to the oath and Satan or his organization.
  • Oath of Darkness – The individual promises not to divulge the covenant or the plans formulated or the works accomplished through the covenant. 
  • Oath of Death – The individual promises to be slain if they violate any aspect of the covenant. 

Satan Promises Individual

In exchange for the promises above, Satan promises to give these individuals power and gain.  He often promises to exalt them above God’s other children or that he will do what they command. 

This dispensation of power gives Satan great power over the individual and enables Satan to give his power to the individual in accomplishing his purposes. 

Power over the Soul (Sealing Key)

Satan’s third and final dispensation of power is to obtain the sealing key.  To do this, Satan seeks to entice the individual to commit an act that will forever separate them from God.  Satan most often uses the shedding of innocent blood in conjunction with the covenant as the act to fulfill his desires in obtaining this key. 

This dispensation gives Satan the greatest power he can obtain over an individual in this life.

Through these dispensations of power, Satan has obtained great power in the world.  Through great deceptions, he has disguised the individuals and organizations he controls.  In secrets and darkness he moves forward his diabolical purposes and strengthens the great chain that he holds over the Earth.  It is time for us to awake to an understanding of our bondage and the power that Satan holds over this world through his dispensations of power. 

The Mercy of God

To the individuals ensnared in Satan’s dispensations of power.  Do not underestimate the mercy and power of God to deliver you from your bondage.  There is always a road back to truth, light and happiness.

My Journey Through The Higher Law

On February 22, 2010 In My Journey Through The Higher Law

My entire experience with The Higher Law has been an incredible journey.  It seems like God has customized specific life experiences to provide us the context we need for the characters we are to translate.  These experiences have been part of a unique journey that is changing our lives, one experience at a time.  I have felt to share my journey through The Higher Law.  This will be a series of posts in which I will share my experiences from the past and as they occur in the future.  I would invite the readers to  to share their experiences, as I know each of us walk a unique path customized specifically to lead us to become all that we were designed to be.  I know that there is much to learn through the experiences and lessons of others. 

This last weekend I had an incredible experience that I believe begins a new chapter in my journey through The Higher Law.  I believe this experience links those experiences from the past with those that are to come in the future, and is a good starting point in sharing my journey.

A week ago, my Dad felt a number of strong impressions to provide counsel on my personal development.  As part of this counsel, he told me that it was important that I “die to the self” and commence a journey where I was to rediscover life through The Higher Law.  I felt a strong confirmation that this was true and began praying that I could commence this journey.  After praying about this for a couple of days, I had the strong impression that on Saturday I should go to the canyon close to our house to a specific spot that I knew.  I felt that what I would be instructed to do there would commence the journey I was seeking.  For the rest of the week, I really focused on preparing spiritually for this.

Through some counsel from my wife and a couple of good friends, I learned that throughout my life I had never really given my whole heart to people or my passions.  In essence, I had not truly loved.  I was surprised to see how great my weakness was in this area.  I came to understand this was a critical part of the journey.  I also began to desire to no longer be “guarded” in my love for people and the passions of my life.  I began to pray fervently for this.    

On Saturday morning, my brother-in-law and I left early.  After hiking to the place we were instructed to go, we built a fire.  The only instruction I had received about the canyon is that I was to approach God in prayer in front of a particular tree (see picture below).

The Tree

I kneeled in front of this tree and began to pray to God.  I prayed for about an hour, asking that I could “die to the self” and rediscover life through The Higher Law.  At this point, I felt to look through the tree at the scenery behind the tree.  Because of the many branches, I could only see glimpses of the scenery.  I was then told, “This is how you currently see life.”  This message hit me to the core, as I realized how blind I was to the world in which I live.  I felt impressed to remove the branches that blocked my view.  As I did this, I found a center part in the tree where I knew I was to continue to pray.  After I had cleared all the branches I could with my hands, I was able to see the scenery behind the tree clearly.  After this experience and each of the experiences listed below, I would return to the fire to get warm, eat, etc.   

When I returned to the tree, I began praying that I could see things as they are.  After I had prayed for about an hour, I was given a special experience where I was allowed to see myself as I am.  I did not like what I saw.  Actually, I hated what I now saw as what I had become.   I did not want to be this person anymore.  I pled with God and asked Him to make a covenant with me that if I would give him everything I had today, that when I left the canyon, I would no longer be this person.  He gave me a glimpse of the difficulty and risks of this journey and told me that if I still desired this at the end of the day, He would grant this to me. 

When I returned to the tree, I began again to pray that I could be free from this person I had become.  During these prayers, I felt impressed to fix the tree by removing the dead wood and excess branches.  I did this for awhile.  However, as I looked closer, I realized that most of the tree was dead and that no matter how hard I worked, I could not fix the tree with the tools that I had.  I saw that the tree was unfixable.  I was then told, “This tree is you.”  I hurt as I understood at a much deeper level who I had become and my terrible situation.  I understood that in my current state I was unfixable.  As I understood this, I prayed for a chance to begin anew, to be free from what I had become. 

When I entered the tree again, I continued my prayers for the opportunity to begin anew and to be free from myself.  After praying for quite some time, I looked up and saw the branches all around me.  I saw that I was in a jail—a hell that I had built for myself.  I saw that each of these branches symbolized rationalizations, false traditions, biases, and any of a number of things that I had build that blinded and bound me. I felt the coldness and darkness of the place and wanted to be free from the confines of what I had built.  I plead that I could be free from the jail in which I lived my life. 

Inside the Tree

When I returned to the tree, I continued to pray.  I came to more fully understand all of the pain I had caused to other people, the opportunities I had missed, the love I had withheld, and so many other things.  I felt the full weight of this and knew that I had no power to make it right on my own.  I continued in what I had learned through the scriptures and my religion as the repentance process.  In what was perhaps the hardest and longest prayer of the day, I pled for forgiveness for these things.  I pled for the heavy weight that I felt to be removed.  In a great moment of peace, I was finally told that I was forgiven.  I cannot describe the feeling of joy and relief that I felt as I was freed from this burden. 

When I entered the tree again, I began praying.  I was impressed that I needed to make a covenant.  As I prayed to know the covenant, it was told to me.  The covenant was that I must promise to never again return to this place, this way of life.  In exchange for this, God would deliver me from this and teach me a better way to live.  I did not feel I was ready to make this covenant, so I prayed for quite a while that I could remember all that I had learned so far and have the strength to never return to this way of life.  After doing this, the impression came, “Make the covenant.”  From this, I knew my prayers had been sufficient and it was time to make this covenant, which I did.  A sweet feeling of reassurance and love filled me as I made this covenant, and I knew that God would help me keep it.    

At this point, I returned to the fire.  My brother-in-law had been tending the fire and focusing on his own unique journey.  We prayed together, and he counseled with me and helped me understand the final portion of my journey, according to impressions he had throughout the day. 

I next entered the tree for the last time.  I was told this was the last time I would enter the tree as the “old Jason.”  I thanked God for the incredible experience of the day and prayed for the strength to pursue my new journey with all of my heart.  I knew that it would be a hard journey, but I knew that God was granting me an opportunity to be free from myself—to leave the old me behind and have the opportunity to rediscover life.  I was told that through this, I would learn the true power of The Higher Law and would discover a great love and passion for life and for God’s children.  I cannot describe the feeling as I stepped out of that tree for the last time.  I knew I was free and that I had the opportunity I had pled for.  I am so excited for this opportunity that God has granted me and pray that through His help, I may become what He desires for me to be.   

In this journey, I recognize the essential role of religion.  It was through what I had learned in the scriptures and through religion that God provided me context in critical parts of my experience on Saturday.  I also know that religion will play an important role in my journey through The Higher Law—as The Higher Law constantly acknowledges the role of religion and gives place for its essential influence.

“Satan’s Strategy for World Politics”

One of the critical preparations for The Higher Law is to understand the adversary’s identity, strategy and methods.  We have received much instruction on this through our efforts to obtain context for the translation of The Higher Law.  However, this is now being revealed at a much deeper level through a new translation. 

In the blog post, “Other Records”, we discussed the creation of the first character formation called “Satan’s Strategy for World Politics.”  As we have discussed in the updates, we have been working on this translation for the last few weeks.  Last week we completed the first translation.  Consistent with the translation of The Higher Law, each character through translation yields a fair amount of text.  We will begin posting these translations next week.

The Requirements of Law – Republic Part 2

This is an attempt at summarizing some very deep and important points of understanding.  We do not claim that it is perfect, but is meant to begin dialog and to put us all on the path to discovering great truths of our nature and nature of the universe.  Once again, we remind you that deeper study of the natures of truth and law and their mutual relationship can be done at www.thylibertyinlaw.com.

Creation of Law

In order to create a true law, three requirements must be fulfilled:

  1. It must be based on universal, static truth.
  2. Truth must be authored into an actual statement.
  3. That statement must be confirmed as truth and executed.

The longevity and validity of any law are directly proportional to its compliance with these three requirements.  Any law that does not meet these requirements is false and sooner or later will fail.

Based on Truth

The first requirement is that law must be based on universal, static truth.  It is not valid to characterize “truth” as any statement that may be contextually accurate, but subjective.  For example, the statement “my favorite color is blue” may be an accurate statement (which we often refer to as a “true” statement), but this is a misuse of the term “true” as this statement can change at any time and will become false.  Truth is unchanging and not subject to interpretation or opinion.

As stated in the post, The Origin of Law, the fundamental truth of our creation is that “all men are created equal.”   Therefore, any law that is intended to govern organization must sustain and comply completely with this truth or else the proposed law is false and cannot be sustained.

A deeper look at this fundamental truth shows that it is, in fact, a law.  As you will see shortly, a law is a statement of truth that has been confirmed and executed.  In this case, the statement is that all men are created equal.  This law is called the Law of Equality. The confirmation and execution of the Law of Equality is proven by the fact that no organization in which inequality exists can remain solvent and functional for more than a relatively short span of time.  To the degree that the Law of Equality is supreme in organization, organization will endure.

While the statement “all men are created equal” is a statement of truth, the Law of Equality is actually applicable to and evident in all matter and energy in the universe, not specifically stated in terms of the equality of mankind, but stated in infinite other ways that are contextually appropriate.  The statements may differ in context and application, but the underlying truth is the same—equality.

Legislation

Truth alone is static and expressionless.  It has no discernible meaning.  For example, the oft quoted statement 2 + 2 = 4 is a law.  The truth on which that law is founded is that any two items added to any two items makes four items.  That truth remains true regardless of our acknowledgment or ignorance of it.  It was true before man discovered mathematics or even considered the notion of calculation and it will remain true eternally; however, unless and until it is expressed, truth is meaningless.

Legislation is the process by which truth is expressed in statements by some form of intelligence.  To become a law, truth must first be authored into an intelligible statement that expresses it, i.e. 2 + 2 = 4. Still, once authored into a statement, it is not yet a law.

Confirmation and Execution

Once a law is authored into a statement, it must be evaluated and confirmed as true and then executed (i.e. given life).  Only then has truth become law.  As stated previously, truth is expressionless and therefore has no life.  Likewise, an authored statement is simply that, and without the life-giving confirmation of an executive (individual or group), it is equally dead (perhaps it’s more accurate to say it is unborn.)  Consider the following:

Both houses of Congress of the U.S. government recently proposed separate statements (bills) pertaining to the organization and administration of what is often referred to as Universal Healthcare. The specifics of the bills, their similarities and differences, including political and social implications will not be addressed here.  The important point to consider in this example is that in neither case was the power of the executive branch of government brought to bear.  Though they are most certainly authored statements (truth aside for the sake of this example), the bills remain as non-living statements.  Never having received the life-giving confirmation and execution of the President, there is no law, only legislation that is effectively meaningless.

Republican Government (the model, not the party)

For those who are paying attention, you may have noticed that each of the three requirements of law creation represents respectively one of the branches of a republic.

The first requirement—truth—is the domain of the judicial branch.  The judicial branch is not an active branch of government, meaning it cannot legitimately propose new legislation, nor can it execute legislation; it can only passively evaluate the confirmation of proposed legislation and the execution of existing law.  This branch is only activated by appeal from either of the other two branches.

The second requirement—authoring statements—is the sole responsibility of the legislative branch.  This is the first active branch of government and cannot confirm or execute its own statements, nor can it evaluate the execution of existing law.

The third requirement—confirmation and execution—is the sole responsibility of the executive branch, which is the second active branch of government (not in value or precedence, but in order of function).  This branch cannot author statements, nor evaluate its own execution.  Confirmation is accomplished by knowledge of truth, which can be tested by comparison to the Law of Equality.  Anything that violates the Law of Equality is false and cannot be confirmed and executed as true law.

This pattern is called the republic model and it is the basis of all organized function in the universe, from the infinitely large, to the infinitely small.  It is after this model that the republic of the United States was fashioned as inspired by God through its founders.  The republic model is the only viable model for preserving and properly authoring truth into law, thereby preserving the necessary equality of mankind.   In this way, the republic of the United States is not the model, but is the reflection of the only valid pattern of law creation in the universe.  All other patterns, models, structures, and philosophies are false and invalid and will invariably lead to the destruction of those entities and societies that attempt to implement and sustain them.

The Origin of Law – Republic Part 1

The republic model is a universal pattern for law creation.  Deep treatment and examination of the nature of law is provided at www.thylibertyinlaw.com, so we will not go into great depth in this blog; however, some of the more crucial elements of law and truth must be understood for us to proceed, so we will cover them at high level.  We strongly recommend that you study the content of www.thylibertyinlaw.com.

The age-old battle of evolution vs. intelligent design really boils down to one core issue: the origin of law.  Both camps claim that we are subject to laws—evolution claims the laws of nature without intelligence; intelligent design claims the laws of nature are intelligence.  The difference in these two arguments has deep implications.  While intelligent design recognizes the supremacy of the intelligence that created us, evolution theory holds that, given that we evolved to where we are now by the process of natural selection, we are not subject to any standard of right or wrong except that which allows the strongest and fittest to survive in order to improve the collective gene pool and ensure the perpetuation of the species.

As in any argument, there is only one possible outcome.  Either one of them is correct, or they are both wrong.  There cannot be two correct answers.  There is no such construct as subjective truth in which what is true for some is not true for others.  As complex as our universe is, at its most fundamental level it is simply binary.  Things are either true or they are false.

Law vs. Truth

So how does truth relate to law?

Consider this example: In 1863, as part of the final push to abolish slavery, Abraham Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation.  This culminated in the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  Up until that time, slavery was considered legal according to four different provisions of the Constitution.

The situation as it was at that time revealed an inherent moral dilemma: If slavery was “legal” according to the Constitution, could it be considered wrong?

This question illustrates the dynamic that exists between law and truth.  In the one case, the law stated that slavery was constitutionally protected; in the other case, the truth that eventually overturned (corrected) the law was that slavery is bad.  In other words, the higher law prevailed.

Higher Law

Any law that is consistent with truth is higher than, or superior to, any law that is not consistent with truth.  In the particular case of the issue of slavery, the founding law of the United States should always have been recognized as the higher law.  Though not formally written as a law, the Declaration of Independence boldly stated that all other laws of governance must be based on this self-evident truth: “that all men are created equal.”  The Constitution was then written with this fundamental truth (higher law) as its backbone, though admittedly, the founding fathers did not remain entirely true to that foundation.  (Many arguments can be made as to why; they are for another time and place.)

Contained within this statement of truth—that all men are created equal—is another, more subtle but unmistakable statement of truth: that man was created.  In other words, the Declaration of Independence recognized the necessity of a creator of mankind.  It is only in recognition of this truth that equality can be asserted or maintained.  It’s important to recognize that the name, attributes and character of this creator are not defined by the Declaration of Independence.  This allows for interpretation and variation (freedom) depending on the religious or non-religious beliefs that one holds; however, it does not allow for the denial of a superior intelligence against which all definitions of truth and falsehood, good and bad, right and wrong must be held.  Without this standard of higher intelligence, all such notions are matters of opinion and are therefore collectively correct and incorrect—a logical impossibility except when no standard of judgment exists.  Without the standard, no one can lay undisputed claim on the knowledge of right and wrong.  Without that knowledge, how can any law be valid?

The answer is simple and obvious: it can’t.  No law can be valid that does not 1) recognize the superior intelligence that created us, and 2) sustain the nature of our creation as equal one with another.  Recognition of our equality is simply impossible without recognition of our creator.  More accurately, recognition of our equality cannot be guaranteed without recognition of our creator.

Therefore, higher law is any law that recognizes our creator (however you define it) and respects the nature of our creation as a state of inalienable equality.

The universal and eternal model for creating such laws is a republic.

The following is an update on our progress from last week. 

The Higher Law

We completed the translation of four characters this week.  We translated one character in Section 3 and were then instructed to move back to the outside circle, where we translated three characters.  From some instruction we have received over the last couple of weeks, it appears that the outside circle of The Higher Law is what will be published in June, and the inside circle will be published at a later date. 

Character Formations

We completed the translation for the first character in the character formation, “Satan’s Strategy for World Politics.”  This was an incredible experience, as we were taught the pattern for the translation of character formations.  After we complete the initial posts on the republic model, we will begin posting these translations on the blog. 

We made some progress on the second character formation this week. 

Blog

Our reader base continues to grow.  Last week we began the transition from the history of the movement to presenting the core principles of the movement.  This week we will present a number of posts on the republic model, as it is the foundation to The Higher Law and understanding the translations from the character formations.
