Rap and hip-hop have been one of the primary ways through which God has taught us of the current situation and potential of The Black Nation.  The following is a list of some of the songs that have been most instrumental in teaching us of these things:

“A Dream” (Jay-Z)

“Changes” (Tupac)

“Dead and Gone”  (T.I.)

“Dumpin” (Tupac)

“Lose Yourself” (Eminem)

“My Life” (The Game & Lil Wayne)

“No Matter What” (T.I.)

“Pray to the Lord” (Lil Wayne)

“Put On Remix” (Young Jeezy & Jay-Z)

“Ready for Whatever” (T.I.)

“Sing for the Moment” (Eminem)

“Til I Collapse” (Eminem)

As we have listened to this music, we have been taught of the great power of this music to inspire the individual and unite the Black Nation.  We were taught of the good things many of these musicians are doing, particularly for the youth, in giving them hope, making them aware of the realities of their situation and encouraging them to reconsider many of the traditions of the past.  We have come to understand the tremendous responsibility of these musicians, who God has blessed with great spiritual gifts that enable them to communicate with great power through the music God inspires them to create.  We have learned that so much of the future of the Black Nations rests upon the power of the musicians to prepare the minds and teach those of the Black Nation those principles that will allow them to rise up together and break free from their oppression.

The oppression over the Black Nation is an economic and social oppression.  Only through creating a new economic and social structure can the Black Nation create an environment where each individual can develop their gifts and pursue the purposes of their life.  Through this revolution, the Black Nation will have power to rise up to all it was designed by God to be.

The Higher Law is instruction from God on building this new economic and social structure for the entire world.  However, God has made it clear that the Black Nation is to play an essential role in building this.  He has taught us of the great strength and power of the Black Nation.  He has called the Black Nation a “sleeping giant” and told us that when they become fully aware of the nature of their oppression and their path to victory over it, they will be an unstoppable force for good.  We invite the musicians of the Black Nation to continue to prepare the great Black Nation for their rise from oppression to the great purposes God has designed for it.  We would invite you to follow this blog and learn of The Higher Law and the instruction that will come through it on how we, together, can become all we were designed to be—to be free to fully pursue the development of our gifts and the great purposes of our lives.

In the post, “Opening Our Minds,” I talked about how one of my sons had helped me open my mind to a particular type of music that I had considered as “bad”.  This music is rap/hip-hop.  My son had been drawn to this music for years.  I had initially really discouraged his listening to it, but as God helped me open my mind, I could see that God was leading my son in this direction.  As I said in the past post, it was through these experiences with him that I first learned to better understand worship.  As I continued this journey, God began to teach me about the Black Nation.  I learned of the great power of this nation and how much the adversary feared it.  I was shown how although we all believed them to be a free nation, they were oppressed under the society in which the Beast had formed around them.

Over the last few months, we have been visited by a number of messengers who have come to teach us of the Black Nation.  Two of these are Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Tupac.  Through these visitations, we learned how the adversary through the Beast had essentially built a false reality around the Black Nation to ensure that they never recognized their true strength or power.  We were also shown how each time a leader would rise among this nation—especially leaders perceived to have the power to unite the nation, they would be killed or discredited through calculated efforts by the Beast.  Martyrdoms would occur under the guise of gang violence to ensure the Black Nation or the world did not discern their devised oppression.

When I was initially listening to the rap/hip-hop music, I was taken back by some of the angry and rebellious tones of the music.  I felt these artists calling the Black Nation to rebel against government, society, etc.  As I pondered this, I was taught that the Black Nation had recognized their oppression, but they could not discern the source of it, as the adversary had hidden his efforts behind government and other aspects of society.  In their efforts to proclaim their oppression and inspire the Black Nation to rise up against it, they had expressed their rebellion against the only institutions they could see.

Recently, I was inspired to read Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech, “I have a dream.”  When reading it, the following quotes stood out.  Through this, I better understood the legitimacy of the Black Nation’s discontent and the need for things to be made right.

“It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro’s legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.”

In the next paragraph of this speech, Dr. King instructed how the Black Nation should rise up to accomplish these things.

“But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.”

Last night I could not get the Black Nation out of my mind.  My son and I listened to music together, as we pondered.  This morning, as I awoke, I was again visited by a group of messengers who told me it was time to write to the Black Nation and invite them to recognize and rise out of their oppression.

To the Black Nation, we issue an invitation.  Come join the cause of The Higher Law and let us work together to break the oppression that is held over you and all of us.  This invitation is not new—many of your great musicians and leaders have been issuing this invitation for years.  Come learn of The Higher Law and this movement and the great things God desires to grant you, the Black Nation, and all of us.  I know through my experiences that He is tired of the oppression we all live under due to the false reality created by the adversary through the Beast.  As I was told this morning, “It is time for the Black Nation to rise up and become all that God designed it to be.”
